Sendit to your friend's address (probably OK) 2. Most post offices here have Poste Restante, which basically means your mail is stuck in a box somewhere and you have to dig through it to find your stuff. An A3 envelope should be easy to spot. Usually need to show your passport or some ID to prove it's yours. 3.

Has anyone sent anything from Bali to Australia recently? I'd like to know the cost of approx. 10kg and how long it takes via air mail? I have done a search but there isn't any up to date info that I could find. Thanks in advance. Level Contributor 62 posts 1. Re Postage to Australia 9 years ago Last time I sent a box of 20kg cost me about 1,00,000 rupiah This was with the "slowest" option and took about 5 weeks. Re Postage to Australia 9 years ago hi we sent back several boxes last sept. air mail is expensive, not worth it. we chose sea mail It took right ont the 8 weeks to arrive. 10kg cost about 60 dollars and 20kg was about 100 dollars. we sent 5 parcels, and one of those didn't arrive, I used a post office agency and i got sick while i was there for the 3rd parcel and fainty, I didnt get the reciept/tracking number in my state, left it on the desk and this parcel never made it here, all the others I have ever sent from Bali have arrived with no problem. it allowed us to have curtains made, send the heaviest and bulkiest things back rather than in suitcase. we took a large bronze statue to the main post office, they packaged it up so well for us and it arrived unscathed, it was well worth the cost of the item and the postage. you cannot buy here off ebay under 1000 dollars Destination Expertfor Bali, Nusa Dua, Sanur, Tuban, Ubud Level Contributor 14,920 posts 362 reviews 334 helpful votes 4. Re Postage to Australia 9 years ago I have also posted items back home. Everything arrived approx 3 weeks after it was dispatched and I only chose the cheaper sea freight as air mail was too expensive. You can post up to 20kg in one parcel. The post office in Bali provide all packaging and it is a much cheaper option compared to sending goods home by the cubic meter with a freight company. Idon't suppose there is a link to a website where I can find out (my Indonesian is good enough to read sites in Indonesian). Snail mail (by sea) is fine - I want to do it as cheaply as possible, Was thinking perhaps Rp. 50k-100k for a small package with just a tshirt (about 200g) Any help would be greatly appreciated.
